Jason Ivors

Jason Ivors is the founder and owner of Ivors Construction Oy. He is from Tipperary in the south of Ireland. He started on building sites as a teenager and qualified as a carpenter from the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) in 2001 after a five-year programme.

His skills are built on work experience in many countries: Ireland, England, Australia, Qatar, Madagascar and now Finland. His work has included house building, roofing, renovations and industrial construction. He spent a year as a site supervisor in Qatar and two years as project manager in Madagascar, and has supervised both small and large construction projects.

He came to Finland with his wife Matleena. After a couple of years with a Helsinki building firm he founded his own company in 2011. He started alone, and quickly had more work than one man can do.

The crew

We are about ten people, mostly Irish and British professionals. We speak English on site.

Jason is personally involved in every project. Every member of the crew represents the company and its way of working, and a good team spirit shows to the customer too.

How we work

We serve both private and business customers, and work in modern as well as more traditional building styles. Punctual schedules, direct and honest communication, keeping promises and careful finishing. Those are the things customers know us for, and where our recommendations come from.

Most of our hours currently go to subcontracting for larger builders, but by number most of our customers are private homeowners and housing companies. Both matter equally to us.
