Garden timber work is a carpenter's favourite kind of job. A deck, fence or pergola done right the first time: proper footings, the right timber and fixings that do not rust.
For decks we use pressure-treated, heat-treated or larch timber depending on the situation. We will tell you honestly what fits the budget and what lasts longest.
Fences and slatted screens give privacy without looking like a wall. We also build gates, steps and garden walkways.

When can a deck be built?
When the ground is not frozen, usually April to November. Book spring work during the winter.
Which timber should I choose for a deck?
Pressure-treated is the most affordable; heat-treated and larch look finer. We explain the differences and you choose.
Does a deck need a permit?
A ground-level deck usually does not, but a covered or raised one may.
Do you build canopies and pergolas?
Yes. Glazing is done with a partner.
How often does a deck need treating?
Usually every few years depending on timber and location. We give care instructions at handover.
General questions
How much will it cost?
It always depends on the job, so we do not quote blind. We come and look and give you a quote. Asking for a quote does not commit you to anything.
Who makes the decisions?
You do. We explain the options and give recommendations from long experience, but the final choices are always yours.
Does the household tax deduction apply?
For private individuals, usually on the labour share when the work is done in your own home or holiday home.
Where do you work?
Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen, Kirkkonummi and Sipoo. For larger jobs, elsewhere in Uusimaa too.
Can I deal with you in English?
Yes. Jason and the crew work in English.
Are your contractor’s obligations in order?
Yes. We are a Tilaajavastuu.fi Luotettava Kumppani, so tax, pension insurance and other records are verifiable.
