An outbuilding is a small house and needs the same care. We build garages, storage buildings, bike and waste shelters for both houses and housing companies.
For housing companies we build waste shelters and bike stores that fit the yard and take daily use. Slatted-timber shelters have been popular: they look good and ventilate well.
With garages it pays to think about storage, electrics and a possible EV charging point at the same time.
Common questions
Does a shed need a permit?
It depends on size and municipality. In Helsinki small outbuildings often need at least a notification.
Does a garage need a building permit?
Usually yes.
Can an EV charger be added?
Yes. Electrical work is done by a partner, and it is best planned from the start.
Do you build carports too?
Yes, both free-standing and attached to the house.
What kind of foundation does a garage need?
It depends on the ground and use, usually a slab or pier foundation. We explain the options.
General questions
How much will it cost?
It always depends on the job, so we do not quote blind. We come and look and give you a quote. Asking for a quote does not commit you to anything.
Who makes the decisions?
You do. We explain the options and give recommendations from long experience, but the final choices are always yours.
Does the household tax deduction apply?
For private individuals, usually on the labour share when the work is done in your own home or holiday home.
Where do you work?
Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen, Kirkkonummi and Sipoo. For larger jobs, elsewhere in Uusimaa too.
Can I deal with you in English?
Yes. Jason and the crew work in English.
Are your contractor’s obligations in order?
Yes. We are a Tilaajavastuu.fi Luotettava Kumppani, so tax, pension insurance and other records are verifiable.
