Bathroom renovations
A bathroom is a small room and a big job. We do the demolition, waterproofing, tiling, fittings and sauna benches with our own crew, so the schedule holds and there is one company responsible.
In an apartment building the job starts with the housing company: notification, their inspector and any constraints from pipe renovations. We fit the work to the building's rules.
Waterproofing is the part of the renovation you never see in the finished bathroom, and the part that decides whether it lasts.
Sauna benches and panelling are made to measure. Black alder, aspen and heat-treated timber are the usual choices; we help you pick based on the room and the stove.
Common questions
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
A typical apartment bathroom takes about 3–5 weeks. Drying times between waterproofing and levelling set the pace, and they are not worth rushing.
Can I live at home during the work?
Most people do. We agree in advance when the water will be off and protect the route through the flat.
Does the household tax deduction apply?
Yes, on the labour share. The deduction is for the labour, not the materials.
Do I need the housing company’s permission for a bathroom renovation?
In apartment and terraced buildings a wet-room renovation always needs a notification to the housing company, which may appoint an inspector.
How is the waterproofing done?
To the manufacturer’s instructions, before tiling. It is the most important stage of the job and we do not cut corners on it.
Can I choose the tiles and fittings myself?
Yes, you decide. Buy them yourself, or we explain the options and give recommendations from experience.
Do you also handle plumbing and electrics?
Yes, through trusted partners, so you do not have to coordinate several contractors.

How much will it cost?
It always depends on the job, so we do not quote blind. We come and look and give you a quote. Asking for a quote does not commit you to anything.
Who makes the decisions?
You do. We explain the options and give recommendations from long experience, but the final choices are always yours.
Where do you work?
Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen, Kirkkonummi and Sipoo. For larger jobs, elsewhere in Uusimaa too.
Can I deal with you in English?
Yes. Jason and the crew work in English.
Are your contractor’s obligations in order?
Yes. We are a Tilaajavastuu.fi Luotettava Kumppani, so tax, pension insurance and other records are verifiable.
